What is the Green attitude to work?
http://www.imsgrp.com/greenparty/grecon.htm
The Greens are opposed to the waste of unemployment and in favour of
the creation of worthwhile and fulfilling work. They favour worker-
management and co-operative enterprises, profit-sharing and work-
sharing, the economic recognition of domestic work, and the reduction
of the working week. They advocate where possible the
ownership/control of industry by a combination of worker, consumer,
producer and community interests on a local, decentralist basis. The
Greens support economically empowering activities such as credit
unions, LETS (Local Exchange Trading System) as well as ethical
investment, 'ownwork' and enhanced opportunities for individual
creativity and self-development.
A Community Approach To Unemployment
http://www.imsgrp.com/greenparty/grecon3.htm
The Greens favour change in approach in the support of employment
creating initiatives... Particular attention will be paid to
supporting service industries and promoting the concept of "green"
industry. The Greens will strongly promote community-based skills
exchange programme known as Local Employment Trading Systems (LETS).
